Alexis founded Textures Design in 2016 in order to pursue her passion for design. Alexis’s degree in communications and public relations combined with a career in publishing at Condé Nast (House and Garden, Glamour, and GQ) and beauty at Estée Lauder gives her a unique perspective on functional yet beautiful design and style. Alexis recently decided to further her education in design and go back to school to study the art. Having lived in Cape Town, South Africa and Marin, California, Alexis draws her inspiration from nature and the textures that comprise her surroundings. Using a mix of wood, leather, marble, and fiber cork, Alexis creates refined and relaxed spaces. Alexis currently resides in Michigan with her husband and three children.
